The following is our proposed management scorecard, not an industry benchmark.
| Decision measure | What to show management |
|---|---|
| Relevant coverage | Distinct titles matched to actual editorial priorities |
| Permission coverage | Documented, unresolved and excluded titles shown separately |
| Tested availability | Results by declared device, browser and permitted location |
| Maintenance effort | Staff hours, incidents and catalogue corrections |
| Total cost | Quoted charges plus documented or explicitly estimated internal costs |
| Exit readiness | Affected pages, replacement options and unresolved contractual dependencies |
Decision rule: do not allow a low price or a large feed to outweigh missing authorisation. Equally, do not reject a smaller catalogue if it satisfies the publishing brief with better evidence.
Reply prompt: What is missing from your current supplier comparison: usable title counts, written rights, operating costs or an exit plan?
