Use them to sharpen questions, not to create an automatic supplier ranking. The following checklist is a proposed procurement method.
| Hiring signal observed | Question for the supplier or internal team | Evidence to request |
|---|---|---|
| Release-operations recruitment | Who owns missing releases and asset corrections for our service? | Named owner, update process and sample release communications |
| Integration leadership recruitment | Which team will handle our implementation and post-launch support? | Delivery plan, responsibilities and escalation route |
| QA or reliability recruitment | What is tested for our integration, and what remains our responsibility? | Relevant test scope, incident process and agreed service measures |
| Data-engineering recruitment | Can we use a maintained feed rather than repeating manual reconciliation? | Data dictionary, provenance, change handling and exception process |
| Product leadership recruitment | Is playable content included in the approved product initiative? | Product brief, priorities, acceptance criteria and decision timetable |
| Editorial leadership recruitment | Which catalogue gaps block the publishing plan? | Prioritised title or studio requirements, not an undifferentiated wish list |
For demo slot licensing requirements for publishers, keep authorisation as a separate gate. The recommended permission register should address named domains, intended audience, distribution method, promotional use, assets and termination. A job title or technical capability is not the evidence to use for those decisions.
For US-facing affiliate presentation, there is a separate advertising consideration: FTC guidance says affiliate relationships associated with endorsements should be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, and warns that the label “affiliate link” alone may not explain the relationship adequately. Assign responsibility for reviewing the actual presentation; a content vacancy is not evidence that the publisher has completed that review. (ftc.gov)
