What observable demand exists?
There is evidence of a substantial international publisher ecosystem, but not a census of paying US-facing buyers. First Look Games’ public homepage advertised 1,020+ publishers when reviewed on 27 October 2026. This is a supplier-reported network figure: it does not disclose the number of US-facing organisations, active demo users or paying customers. (firstlookgames.com)
Publisher organisations and websites must also be distinguished. First Look Games asks approved publishers to register additional websites, including staging environments. A domain count would therefore overstate the number of independent buying organisations if used without deduplication. (firstlookgames.com)
Editorial hiring provides a weaker, supplementary signal. PlayUSA’s careers page seeks writers for online casino, slot and casino-game reviews, while Casinos.com advertises freelance and full-time content opportunities. These pages establish ongoing editorial activity—not a demo procurement budget, supplier purchase or willingness to pay for research. Both were reviewed on 27 October 2026. (playusa.com)
How should a publisher-spend estimate be built?
Use a bottom-up model:
Annual publisher supplier spend = deduplicated paying organisations × average annual demo-specific external spend.
Then segment the average spend into distribution subscriptions, separately commissioned integration, metadata, support and bespoke content. Measure free-access users separately rather than assigning them an assumed subscription.
The table below is a sensitivity exercise, not a market estimate or forecast. Buyer counts are analyst-selected assumptions. Annual subscription inputs are derived from the monthly tariffs reported later in this document, multiplied by twelve without annual-payment discounts. (slotslaunch.com)
| Assumed paying organisations | US$120 annual subscription | US$540 annual subscription | US$1,380 annual subscription |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | US$12,000 | US$54,000 | US$138,000 |
| 500 | US$60,000 | US$270,000 | US$690,000 |
| 1,000 | US$120,000 | US$540,000 | US$1.38m |
Calculation date: 27 October 2026. Each cell is assumed organisations multiplied by annual subscription expenditure. The exercise assumes one subscription per organisation and excludes implementation, other suppliers, taxes and additional services.
The implication is mathematical, not a new market-size claim: a multimillion-dollar supplier-spend thesis needs evidence of higher-spending buyers, more buyers, additional services, or some combination of these. Low-cost subscriptions alone do not validate the inherited estimate.
What would make a market-size estimate publishable?
Before publishing a numerical US market estimate, obtain:
- A deduplicated list of publisher organisations and their US-facing properties.
- The proportion using paid distribution, free authorised access, direct studio arrangements and mixed models.
- Redacted invoices or quotations that separate recurring access from implementation and unrelated services.
- The distribution of annual expenditure, not just an average distorted by large projects.
- Supplier confirmation of active publisher customers, with geography and customer definitions.
- A reconciliation of studio-funded distribution against publisher-funded purchasing.
Until then, “not publicly established” is more defensible than a precise-looking total addressable market.
