25. What service levels and exit terms should I negotiate?

Define service quality around playable launches and recovery, not merely whether the supplier homepage or API returns a response. Specify which failures are inside the commitment and which are excluded. An iframe load event alone is not proof that the embedded content loaded successfully. (developer.mozilla.org)

Recommended negotiation points:

Area Define explicitly
Measurement Eligible attempts, supported environments, timing method and exclusions
Incident severity Entire service failure, studio failure, title failure and degraded performance
Response and restoration Acknowledgement, escalation, workaround and recovery expectations
Planned changes Notice for API, authentication and catalogue changes
Rights withdrawal Notification, affected-title list and removal process
Commercial remedy Credits or other agreed remedies without treating them as recovery substitutes
Exit Data exports, continued access where agreed, deletion and migration assistance

Read public terms alongside any negotiated order form. Slots Launch’s public terms, dated 18 September 2022, include broad third-party disclaimers and suspension or termination provisions without prior notice. That is a reason to clarify the applicable service agreement—not evidence that a particular customer has suffered an outage or lacks a separate arrangement. (slotslaunch.com)

A support label such as “priority” should become an operationally meaningful commitment only when the response channel, hours and expectations are clear.
